Nightfall - Before Sunrise, 2021
21 ¾ × 29 ¾ in
Before Sunrise, when the first rays of light wake up birds and people to the start of a new day. The early hours give us some truly spectacular displays of color, which, with the sea as a big mirror, inspires the use of a new palette. In this series, I have been working on dynamic and flow within a limited palette, while using shadows and light as an accent. The pastels lend themselves so easily to create those wispy weightless clouds, inspired by the movements brought on by the wind.
