Amy Bultena is an artist based in California’s central valley. Originally from the southern United States, she grew up interacting with women who were passionate about collecting fine china and houseplants. Despite her best efforts, those interests rubbed off on her and often appear as familiar motifs in her work. Amy specializes in juxtaposing the stylized patterns of china and painted pottery with the organic shapes of succulents and other hardy houseplants. She is passionate about refining her technique, thrifting great pottery, and observing the world contained in small objects.
Amy Bultena obtained a degree in Fine Arts at the University of Georgia.
